OLD COAST TRADING WINS GOLDEN WEB AWARD

Thompson, CT-- The Golden Web Award, presented by the International Association of Web Masters and Designers, was presented to Shannon Grauer, owner of Old Coast Trading. Old Coast Trading has won this prestigious award in recognition of their creativity, integrity and excellence on the Web. After being in business for only 18 months, owner Shannon Grauer should be very proud.

Grauer launched Old Coast Trading in 2003, after being laid off from her job in Corporate America. She created the website and built the company by herself. Shannon refers to Old Coast Trading as a “one- stop shop for earth friendly and natural and organic products.” She offers products such as natural shampoo and soaps for the bath, non-toxic cleaners for the kitchen, cloth diapers for babies, and treats for your family dog. There are well over 100 products on the website. From bath and body, to insect protection, products made from Hemp, jewelry, books, pet products and so much more, truly something for everyone. Grauer says, “Remember the good ‘ole days, when life wasn’t full of chemicals, by-products, artificial this or imitation that? We can offer you some escape from our increasingly artificial world.”

To keep her customers informed of new products she offers a monthly newsletter with articles of interest, earth friendly tips, and links to complimentary websites.

In 2004, to compliment Old Coast Trading, Shannon created Red Barn Botanicals. Red Barn Botanicals offers natural soaps and bath and body products. When asked about the scents in her soaps, Shannon says, “ We don’t over scent our products, our customers request it that way. When coloring our products we use only the smallest amount of mica or natural herbs and spices for colorings.” All of their products come with an information tag stating the use and care and the ingredients.
